Sushma Rana
Sushma Rana, wife of Suresh Rana, is a permanent resident of Ward No 6 of Gram Panchayat Menja. She has two sons and two daughters-in-law in her family. Sushma Rana Ji is the head of the BJP’s Vikas Mahila Mandal. She has added 55 houses to her Mahila Mandal; earlier, there were 25 members in the Mahila Mandal; now, all the members in the Mahila Mandal have formed self-help groups with the help of CORD. Four SHGs have been completed, three of which have received bank loans. In this way, women’s income increases. In which women themselves develop their families. Sushma Rana ji has also connected Divyang single women with Mahila Mandal, in which Sushma Rana works as an FD (fixed deposit) agent in the post office, earning ₹10,000 every month.
The woman also takes good care of the farming work and participates in the programs of social, government, and other organizations. She also provided employment to the needy people in his panchayat. She employed six people at the Mahila Mandal. Women who are over 60 years of age get help getting pensions through the Panchayat. Mahila Mandals participate in every Gram Sabha but get things done in the sub-gram Sabha. They advertised to keep Mother Ganga safe, made masks and sanitizers during the COVID-19 pandemic, funded the SDM with a ₹ 6,000 donation from Mahila Mandal, helped build the roads of their ward, and installed a hand pump in their village. She also repaired the roads in her village and did mushroom work through FPO.
