Bal Vihar CORD Himachal (Sidhbari)

I am Pravesh Kumar, son of Shri Jaidev, hailing from Village Kaned, Ward No. 3, Gram Panchayat, Kaned. My journey with the CORD program began quite early. At just five years old, I started attending the CORD-run kindergarten in Kaned Panchayat. This early experience introduced me to Bal Vihar, a program organized at the kindergarten every second Saturday, which I joined and stayed actively involved in until I was 13.

Bal Vihar was an enlightening experience. We delved into spirituality, social knowledge, and physical education. I learned about the significance of ‘Om,’ heard tales of Gurudev Ji, Lord Ram, Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva, and various cultural festivals. It was here that I covered my school’s moral education curriculum, and through this engagement, I moved on to become a proficient leader in Bal Vihar. My childhood was marked by a deep-rooted passion for spirituality and social service. I always aspired to share the knowledge and values I acquired with others, hoping to extend the benefits of these teachings.

Upon completing my education, I began working with CORD on April 17, 2011. My commitment led me to serve in various sectors, including the Farm Sector, MKSP, Mahila Mandal, Self Help Group, Bal Vihar, and the Girls Group. My path reflects the transformative impact of early involvement in community-focused programs and the power of carrying forward the legacy of learning and service.
