Building stronger communities. Nurturing rural India.

Partnering with communities, to create lasting change through community-based action

Community-based organizations

The heart of our programs

We believe that developing local communities is key to achieving sustainable development in rural areas. That’s why we work closely with community-based organizations (CBOs) comprising women, men, youth, and children to motivate, mobilize, and enable communities to plan, execute, and evolve.

Our CBOs provide a platform around which other program components converge and diverge. Each CBO is nurtured to address issues related to poverty, health, disability, education, social injustice, the environment, and local self-governance. We encourage the legal registration of these CBOs to allow them direct access to government funds.
